A. New Horizons: The collaboration between GVU and New Horizon is to enable students of the University to register for their choice of professional ICT oriented programmes at a subsidised rate. It is expected of every student to graduate with at least three certificates at the time of their graduation. With the ICT professional certification, students of GVU will be relevant in the ICT world.
B. ICAN & CIBN: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, were in the university recently to ascertain the accreditation requirements for both CIBN and ICAN professional Examination. The teams, in their separate visits, were satisfied with the facilities made available by the University Management, and thereby certified GVU students for their professional examinations. With this development, students of Accounting & Finance and Banking & Finance of GVU will only need to write a few courses of ICAN and CIBN to qualify them as Chartered Accountants and Chartered Bankers.
C. Sheriff Deputies: The University Management recently changed the security provider on campus by partnering with Sheriff Deputies. This partnership became necessary for the robust security of life and property of the university community. Sheriff Deputies is one of the leading security service providers in the country. Based on the credibility of the company, there is a guarantee for adequate security on campus.
